Lunch

Visiting for Lunch at Caprock Elementary

Parents and guardians are welcome to join their Caprock Gators for lunch. Please note that Texas law only allows parents/guardians to provide food for their own child. Visitors may not bring food for another student or invite another student to join them for lunch.

Before You Arrive

• Please bring a valid driver's license or government-issued photo ID to check in at the front office.
• If you arrive before your child's lunch period begins, we ask that you wait in the front office until it is time to proceed to the cafeteria.

During Lunch

• Visitors may purchase a meal from the cafeteria, bring their own lunch, or simply enjoy spending time with their child while he or she eats.
• Designated parent lunch tables are available for visitors and their child.
• Students may not invite friends to sit at the parent lunch tables.

End of Lunch

Approximately five minutes before the end of each lunch period, students will transition to a zero-voice expectation to finish eating and clean their area. At that time, visitors should say goodbye to their child and exit the cafeteria so students can complete lunch routines and prepare to return to class.
